On Friday May 12th we celebrated our first ever Multicultural Day ! Our classes (1st -6th) have been busy working on projects and learning about all of the wonderful countries and cultures of the pupils in our school . They presented their amazing projects to the whole school and parents in the hall . It was a very special day in which the children learned so much about each other .
We shared our similarities and celebrated our differences through project work, artwork, facepainting, music, dance and food. The junior classes “visited” each country on display and had their “passports” stamped. The senior classes filled out worksheets about their findings. Our whole school really enjoyed the experience .
Many thanks to all of our parents who prepared food for the day and sent in items for display. Here is a little taste of this special day!
