Last Tuesday November 28th, our new Green Team joined other schools in the Strand Hotel Limerick and participated in a Marine Environment workshop. They learned all about the importance of our marine environment , the sources of it’s pollution and about how we can all play our part in protecting Marine environments .
They listened to a very interesting Marine Environment presentation which was presented by Green schools officers. The girls took notes ,got involved in games and worked on marine animal mosaics using recycled plastics . Then our girls presented their work to the other schools . They ended their workshop with lunch in the Strand.
The Green Team came back to school full of enthusiasm and with lots of great ideas as to how we will work on this important theme.The girls presented their beautiful recycled creations to assembly on Friday . Well done to our wonderful Green Team !
