"Incredible Edibles is a healthy eating initiative for Primary School pupils. It encourages schools across the country to get busy growing carrots,lettuce,potatoes,strawberries,turnips and herbs." Our school has been supplied with grow packs from An Bord Bia which contain everything the children need to grow a feast of healthy food. Many of our classes have taken part in the Incredible Edibles program over the past few years. It has strong links with our Green schools program ,the Active Flag and our healthy eating policy.
The girls learn all about where food comes from ,taking care of plants and the importance of fruits and vegetables in our diets.The girls really enjoy actively learning about planting in our school garden.We will be busy planting in the coming weeks!!
