We had a wonderful visit from Geoff Hunt this December. He taught the girls about the various species of birds that are native to Ireland. He had an array of soft toy versions of these birds that made the sound of the bird. He spoke to the children about the importance of protecting our environment and maintaining the wonderful green areas in our school. Ms McGrath has been passionately working on our Green Flags with our Green Team and has recently steered us to our 4th. She has been instrumental in encouraging the children's love of nature. The girls knowledge of the birds was fantastic.. they were even able to identify the birds from their song! Geoff has long been a visitor to our school and the girls loved his visit!
