The girls in Ms Shearin's 3rd/4th Class and Ms Mc Grath's 2nd Class have been busy designing environmentally friendly images and captions for the T.L.C. 5 bottle design competition. T.L.C. 5stands for Team Limerick Cleanup which is in it's 5th year. T.L.C. is a fantastic initiative which encourages volunteers from all over Limerick to get involved in one of Europe's largest one day clean-ups on Good Friday 19th April.We have been asked by the organisers of T.L.C. 5 to design giant bottle props to raise awareness of T.L.C 5 and designs to show people how we can all make Limerick a better place by keeping it clean ,reusing and recycling.
The girls are having great fun designing with recycled products and being part of this group initiative .The giant bottle props will be collected from the school on February 25th and will be judged by the organisers. All decorated T.L.C. bottle props will be displayed in the Hunt Museum for all to see from the 1st - 8th of March. Winning Classes will be invited to a presentation ceremony at the beginning of March with sponsor JP Mc Manus and Munster,Ireland and Lions Rugby legend Paul O'Connell ! The winning class in each category gets to see their design printed on a re-usable plastic bottle of their very own .Photos of our entries will be on the school website soon !
