Global Citizenship Slogan Competition

Happy New Year to everyone ! All of our girls were busy last term raising awareness of global citizenship through our slogan competition. The classes were given the task of coming up with a slogan which encouraged everyone to become a great Global Citizen! We had so many amazing entries . The GreenTeam had great difficulty picking a winner . They decided on the very clear message given by Chloe Lewis from 3rd class through her entry.

“Every change no matter how small makes a difference to us all !”

So as 2020 starts we would like to remind everyone to remember Chloe’s thoughtful words and to add these words into your New Year’s resolutions!

This slogan reminds us to be more mindful of small actions we can take on a daily basis which can make a huge difference to our world:

  • By Recycling
  • Using Reusable bottles-avoiding single use plastics
  • Seperating our rubbish carefully
  • Thinking about less packaging when we purchase items,
  • Purchasing Fairtrade items,
  • Taking shorter showers,
  • Saving electricity- turning off lights when not needed
  • Wallking, cycling or carpooling
  • Feeding the birds
  • Composting
  • Thinking of others and helping to combat poverty through giving to charity.
  • Thinking about Sustainability
  • Understanding the many wonderful cultures in our community and how we can all work together to make our world a better place!

All the time making small but important conscious decisions in relation to protecting our environment and helping our world.

Well done to Chloe and to all the girls who participated in this competition and raised awareness of global citizenship through their work!
